13 - 16 Year

In this age group, we continue to train the basic techniques, but we focus more and more on competition elements.
This includes field positions, corners, high balls, player coaching, set pieces, build-up and transitions.
It is important to make a monthly schedule with weekly activities and to write out the training sessions clearly.
Going onto the field unprepared is not wise, this leads to poor preparation, and at these ages they understand this flawlessly.
The training sessions must be instructive and carried out with increasing intensity.
Provide training sessions with enough variety, where quality is more important than quantity.
Also, keep in mind that they are going through puberty at this age stage and may be experiencing a growth spurt.
